Welcome to the website of the Labour Transport Group

http://blog.labourtransportgroup.org.uk

North Eastern Event

The Group was formed in 2008 with the intention of promoting the discussion of transport policy within the party. The Group’s membership comprises of grassroots party members, councillors, MPs and MEPs. Anybody who is a member of the Labour Party and has an interest in transport is welcome to join. Please see the Get Involvedsection for more details.

Over the past year the group has concentrated on building a strong internal foundation on which it can develop in the future. Over the next 12 months the group aims to use this base to grow. The coming year will see more events and more activity.

The Labour Transport Group is committed to including all of its members in all aspects of the operation. Transport affects everyone in the UK, no matter where they live or what they do. As such over time this site aims to develop into an effective portal for discussion and debate amongst members, through a series of Blogs and in time a discussion forum. In addition the Labour Transport Group is committed to hosting events outside of Westminster. If you're a member of the Group and would like to help organise an event please get in touch with someone on the executive to see how you can help.

Website Goes Live!

As of April 20th the website has been live to the public. The site is still in the development stage. It should be, however, the first port of call for anyone wishing to find out more about the Group and get involved. On the site you will find recent publications from LTG – including policy discussion papers, details of future events, and contact details for the executive committee .

Please take a few minutes to look around the site, read some of the papers the group has produced and if you think anything could be improved please do get in touch with the admin team , any feedback (positive and negative) about the design of the site and its functionality is welcomed.

Finally, a disclaimer of sorts. The Labour Transport Group website is maintained on a part time voluntary basis . This means that whilst every effort will be taken to keep the site up to date, inevitably there will be times when we can not update the site as regularly as is liked. For this we apologise, but hope you understand.
